SIMS AVE, PAST MIDNIGHT
Same street since 1985. Same steamers, same recipes.
The shop takes its name from its own address. 揾到食 — wan dou sik in Cantonese, roughly “found something to eat” — hung in gold letters on a cherry-red board over the counter for the best part of forty years. The original owner retired in June 2024 and both shops went dark. Two people who had worked here for years reopened them, and Geylang came back in December 2024 in a bright blue shophouse you can spot from down the street.
